Ornela, Lauscha, Vetrofond and Moretti Rods are all Soft Glass with A 104COE and work well together. I will continue My Experimental Mixing of all the soft glass Colors With All the new Ornela Colors and will post my findings. Feedback is welcome~! This Line of Lampworking Glass has a long European history.
The Oxides in Ornela Glass are Plentiful, no cutting corners on their colors. The old recipe's are still being used... What this means is the oxides,metals, etc used in the old glass recipe's allow all those funky glass reactions.

These transparents are Wild, There are 4 Shades of Sapphire and all are exquisite, Blue has never been a favorite of mine to work in but there is something very different about this wild bright blue. It's Vibrant, Alive, a different type of blue. The Base on the big bead is vetrofond white encased with light sapphire blue and topped with reduction cane R108 the Famous "Raku". Absolutely Gorgeous.. Reduction cane seems to like Ornela or Ornela Likes it. You Choose~!~ LOL...

Handles so well, I'm going to do a dot themes next time I do samples sometime next week as the control over the glass is awesome, I'll also make up some stringers and see how that goes. I think the base texture of the glass makes it easier to creat nice crisp detailed beads..

This is a fun color, I was pushing it in the heart, I burned this stuff right up to see what would happen with some opal yellow and copper green moretti, I think it's wild. The Nice Pink you see on the small bead is what the color is supposed to be I Think, I used a neutral flame for the little bead and a beautiful pink resulting as you can see, the little bead in the back I cooked up well also but not as well as the heart and it's a cool color, I'll bet etched it would look great, the Heart is etched. I'll do better samples soon but this is a fun color.

Ornela Rods - 83522 - (104COE) - (7-8MM) Ivory
I used intense black Moretti on 2 of these beads and added little spots of 224 Moretti to one of them, on the smaller the third bead I used many colors in moretti and ornela on the surface, I baked these beads to get that glass intertwined well. I Love the intense black with this glass, it's much different than using vetrofond or moretti ivory, causes some cool reactions with lots of reduction like them but in a different way, Super high Sheen comes from the Intense black and Ivory reaction, Gorgeous....Click photo to see more Pics of this color.

Ornela Rods - 90012 - (104COE) - (7-8MM) Bright Orange
This is A Bright Gorgeous Orange Striker. Color Strikes Very Easily, Unlike Some if you heat too much for too long you will burn the orange out, You can get many shades of Orange using this glass. The Kiln Does Not Strike the Color, you do. The Photo looks darker than the actual color and I have been trying to match it for an hour but I will come back to it, You'll be happy with the results from any reduction glass or any glass that reduces. I used R-61 on this bead over the orange and really cooked it on their. Brought out shades of Blue and Purple on the edges and dark brown reddish brown around the design. You have control over the glass, it's not soupy but melts as easily as Moretti. You Have more control over this glass, I Think I'm in Love. Photo Is Aweful, Detail is AWESOME~!~ I Always have a hard time photographing reds, oranges and yellows......

This is a very dark red and this is also a very bad photo of it. On the red, It's Deep and has Light swirls of coral throughout it. Very nice. Texture on this Glass is easy to manipulate, you seem to have more control and melts up nicely~!
